    Lithia Motors is growing, and our data analytics landscape is shifting! We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support our data warehouse and analytics platform while also assisting in our shift to a next generation cloud driven solution.  Reporting to the Application Development Manager and as part of a cross-functional development team, you will have the chance to have a ground-up impact on our systems, our business, and most importantly, our customers.  An ideal candidate will be innovative, flexible, have strong analytical skills allowing them to work collaboratively across teams to solve critical business problems.

    Job Description

    Position Overview

    Area of Responsibility

    • Engage with business leaders and other analysts to gather requirements to design and develop data warehouse and analytics in support of new initiatives
    • Apply data analysis and research skills to identify key indicators, test hypotheses and guide actions with respect to the dealership transaction life cycle
    • Understand high-level business objectives and continually align work with those objectives to meet the needs of the business
    • Adopt best practices in reporting an analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis validations, and documentation
    • Analyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context
    • Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of both structured and unstructured data to help automate and optimize key processes
    • Define the business problem and solution approach autonomously with limited guidance
    • Generating actionable insights through the development of metrics, dashboards and deep dive analyses
    • Analyze and validate data to ensure high data quality and reliable insights
    • Partner with data development teams to improve data assets, quality, metrics and insights
    • Proactively identify opportunity areas for deep dive investigations and future program development


    Additional Qualifications

    The following knowledge, skills and abilities are needed to be successful in this position:

    • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
    • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products
    • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or 5+ years of professional experience with a heavy emphasis on data and analytics
    • Excellent Knowledge of SQL/relational databases and exposure to Azure
    • 3+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or data engineering member working with cross functional teams
    • 3+ years of experience with relevant technologies, enterprise reporting systems, data analytics.



    • Experience working with enterprise reporting systems, data analytics
    • Familiarity with Azure cloud platform

    Lithia Hiring Requirements

    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • 18 years or older
    • Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
    • A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
