    Lithia Motors and our team in New Jersey is growing and that starts with people! Our mission, supporting "Growth Powered by People" all starts with our recrutiment team. We are looking for a Recruiting Manager  to join us!

     

    Our Recruting Managers are responsible for actively sourcing candidates as well as working with a team of Recruiters in their specific market/s. Aligned with our core values to Earn Customers for Life, Take Personal Ownership, Improve Constantly and Have Fun, the Recruiting Manager works in coordination with their Recruiters, Hiring Managers, General Managers and Group/Senior Vice Presidents to source, identify and place top talent within their given market/s.

     

    Recruiting Managers are expected to develop and implement results-driven strategies that support candidate placement and Recruiter development and growth. Ultimate objective is to drive a high level of Hiring Manager satisfaction while promoting an efficient time to fill and a positive candidate experience.

    Job Description

    Active Recruiting (50%)

    • Source, pre-screen and interview candidates for core positions
    • Support the Senior Recruiting Manager with the sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for management, hard to fill and/or critical need positions within their assigned area

    Supervision of Recruiters (25%)

    • Provide coaching and mentoring to develop a highly effective recruiting team
    • Offer and support a solutions-driven approach to developing and enhancing Hiring Manager relationships throughout area of influence. Ensure recruiters are actively engaged with Hiring Managers and are responsive to their needs

    Hiring Manager Experience (15%)

    • Partner with Recruiters, Hiring Managers, GVPs and Senior Recruiting Managers to ensure customer focused, “right fit” candidates are selected for filling positions
    • Partner on the creation of and implement effective recruiting marketing campaigns that are focused on sourcing qualified candidates. Marketing materials will include multi-channel advertisements, hiring events, career fairs and targeted job programs
    • Implement effective communications with and in support of Hiring Managers. Directly engage Hiring Managers on a consistent basis; travel to key markets
    • Support the Human Resource Business Partner on workforce strategy initiative and keep them informed of appropriate items

    Candidate Experience (10%)

    • Continually work towards developing a better candidate and new team member 1st day experience
    • Review and approval responsibility of individual candidate background results and exception hires
    • Proactively work with Hiring Managers and Human Resources to identify and facilitate growth of a top internal talent pool

    This person will work directly for the Lithia Motors Inc., Recruiting Team, and will need to collaborate with all team members.

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or commensurate experience
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years related recruting / management experience, Automotive experience a plus
    • Strong ability to communicate and overcome objections
    • Must be a self-starter, work independently, high energy, driven to perform at high level
    • Active listening – giving full attention to the words and body language of others, taking time to understand the points being made and asking questions as appropriate

    Lithia Hiring Requirements

    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • 18 years or older
    • Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
    • A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
    • Clear pre-employment drug screen
