    The Data Visualization Developer I position works on a cross-functional development team creating effective and insightful reporting visualizations, powering key decision-making and process improvements throughout the organization.  This position is responsible for the requirement gathering, wireframing, development, and support of custom programming.  This position requires a thorough understanding of web development methodologies and coding best practices.

    Position Overview

    Area of Responsibility

    • Engage with fellow developers and client/stakeholders to design and develop impactful, dynamic, and insightful data visualizations, dashboards, and other analytic tools
    • Develop utilizing best practices/methodologies of .Net web application design
    • Assist Management in creating project plans and tracking of development progress
    • Participate in Code Reviews and assist Management in establishing Standards and Best Practices
    • Build and maintain business relationships with internal and external peers and colleagues to gain insight into business plans and align development goals to further enhance business value
    • Other duties and projects as assigned

    Additional Qualifications

    The following knowledge, skills and abilities are needed to be successful in this position:

    • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
    • Active Listening – give full attention to the words and body language of others, take time to understand the points being made and ask questions as appropriate
    • Critical Thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
    • Time Management – ability to prioritize workload and manage one’s own time
    • Knowledge of best practices/methodologies of .Net web application design
    • Development with VB.NET, HTML 5, JQuery, JavaScript, CSS, Kendo UI, MVC, Entity Framework
    • Experience with C#, web services and XML development
    • Basic understanding of SQL Server and OLAP Technologies
    • Demonstrated ability to understand business concepts and follow that through into technical understanding
    • Ability to set priorities and perform a variety of complex and broad work assignments
    • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
    • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths
    • Cloud experience is not required, but is a plus
    • 4 year degree from accredited university

    • Working Conditions: Indoor office environment, considerable use of telephone, computer and other office equipment

    Lithia Hiring Requirements

    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • 18 years or older
    • Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
    • A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
    • Clear pre-employment drug screen
