    The Cisco VoIP Administrator II is part of the South Amboy, NJ team responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of enterprise VoIPnetworks, CUCM servers and assists with Helpdesk tickets that relate to the position. The Cisco VoIP Administrator II is focused on day-to-day tasks including upkeep of internal and external VoIP networks including SIP Trunks, PRI’s, POTS lines along with CUCM servers and other related devices.  

    Job Description


    • Regularly monitor all CUCM servers and network devices using RTMT and SolarWinds to provide rapid issue resolution and provide reporting metrics as needed.
      • Ensure VoIP networks and systems are stable, secure and resilient to provide maximum uptime to our customers.
      • Design and implement call flow for new sites, use best practice to fine tune and enhance existing setups to meet changing customer requirements
      • Work with the customer to share best practices on call flow, match the needs of the customer while providing technical guidance on what works and what may not work based on experience
      • Document call flow configurations so customers have a visual way to understand their process and continually improve it based on feedback.
      • Prepare, build and deploy profiles, templates and phones using automated tools
      • Design, build and monitor new call center sites in UCCX
      • Work with Cisco CCX editor to create and modify scripts
      • Manage applications, triggers, resource groups and contact service queue for existing Call Center setups
      • Troubleshoot advance call coverage related to Auto Attendants, Hunt Pilots, Shared Lines and Call Handlers
    • Participate in the technical research and development to enable continuing innovation with the infrastructure.
    • Assist in the upgrades of systems by conferring with peers and vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements
    • Monitor, configure, and assist with troubleshooting Cisco Call Manager, Unity Connection, UCCX and Cisco Edge routers and switches
    • Keep knowledge up to date by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
    • Accomplish organization goals by embracing personal ownership for new and different requests, exploring technical opportunities which add IT and business value.
    • Proactive engagement in areas of responsibility to ensure the highest level of customer service possible.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • 3-5+ years of IT experience related to Cisco VoIP networking infrastructure.
    • Cisco CUCM 10x-current experience including CM, Unity and UCCX with ability to create new and modify existing setups
    • Cisco CCNA Voice ( or Equivalent work experience)
    • Proficient in MS Office and Visio
