ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Area of Responsibility
- Perform accounting processes related to all personal property (equipment, furniture, company vehicles, etc.) ensuring the appropriate capitalization of assets and calculation of depreciation expense. Ensure accounting for these transactions is appropriate under US GAAP
- Ensure all corporate invoices related to real and personal property are processed timely and coded accurately. This includes reviewing invoices processed during the month to ensure all significant, recurring invoices are processed
- Complete the month-end close process including posting month-end journal entries, a review of all balance sheet accounts and income statement variances
- Maintain an effective internal controls environment including the creation and documentation of accounting policies and internal control framework
- Focus on continuous process improvement relating to the efficiency and efficacy of accounting processes, policies and financial reporting;
- Other projects as required

The following knowledge, skills and abilities are needed to be successful in this position:

- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- CPA or candidate eligible for the CPA exam desired
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work well independently and in teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Prior work experience in accounting/finance field desired

- Working Conditions: Indoor office environment, considerable use of telephone, computer and other office equipment.
Lithia Hiring Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 18 years or older
- Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
- A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
- Clear pre-employment drug screen
