    Dealership Specialist I

     

    The Dealership Specialist I is the key link between the Dealership and Dealership Accounting.  This position is an entry level position that focuses on dealership and DMV functions that support the operations of the Dealership.  In most cases the Specialist will sit within the Dealership.  Accounting related tasks are very minimal, in many cases the individual may not post to the general ledger.   The role is most common in a centralized accounting structure.  Successful individuals will build strong relationships with department leads and quickly gain business and automotive acumen. High performers will work with the Dealership to track key performance indicators that drive financial performance.

     

    This position reports to the Business Manager.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

     

    Area of Responsibility

    • Cash Receipts
      • Manages collection and reconciliation process for cash, checks and credit card receipts
    • Review New & Used Retail Car Deals
      • Document Verification
      • Submission of Finance Contracts
    • Track Key Performance Indicators
      • VBI Programs
      • Rebate and Incentive Trends
      • Service Loaners
      • Operational Controls
    • DMV Functions
      • New and Used Car Title and Licensing
      • Operational Controls
    • Other duties as assigned

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma (required)
    • Dealership Experience (preferred)
    • Bookkeeping/Accounting (preferred)
    • Retail Sales and/or Customer Service (preferred)

    Lithia Hiring Requirements

    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • 18 years or older
    • Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
    • A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
    • Clear pre-employment drug screen
