An accountant is responsible for a corporate entity and ensures that all transactions are accounted for in accordance with GAAP as well as perform consolidated inter-company billings for diverse and varied processes.  You will process month-end close including the review of reconciliations and month-end balances and research of income statement variances.  Last but not least, you’ll play a key role in month-end, quarter-end reporting and year-end audits and quarterly reviews with external auditors.


This position reports to the Corporate Accounting Supervisor.

Job Description


  • Perform accounting processes related to all personal property (equipment, furniture, company vehicles, service loaners, etc.) ensuring the appropriate capitalization of assets and calculation of depreciation expense. Ensure accounting for these transactions is appropriate under US GAAP
  • Complete the month-end close process including posting month-end journal entries, a review of balance sheet accounts and income statement variances
  • Maintain an effective internal controls environment including the creation and documentation of accounting policies and internal control framework
  • Focus on continuous process improvement relating to the efficiency and efficacy of accounting processes, policies and financial reporting;
  • Other projects as required

The following knowledge, skills and abilities are needed to be successful in this position:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or candidate eligible for the CPA exam desired
  • 1+ year experience in accounting/finance field in a high-paced, growing and dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience utilizing large ERP (Oracle, SAP, Workday, etc.) Excellent communication skills; ability to work well independently and in teams

  • Working Conditions: Indoor office environment, considerable use of telephone, computer and other office equipment

Lithia Minimum Hiring Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 18 years or older
  • Possess a driver’s license in your state of residence
  • Pass a motor vehicle report
  • Pass a 7-year criminal background check
