This position provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distributing services to all of our stores.   The Parts Distribution Center Administrator reports to the Distribution Center Manager.

Job Description

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

Area of Responsibility

  • Ensure daily inbound and outbound shipments are processed
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures
  • Work with shipping companies to ensure lowest rates and reasonable deliver times
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring safety and security procedures and protocols.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data storage system.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Ensure equipment is in good working order and working with management to have all equipment properly maintained or repaired as needed.

  • Physical Demands: Standing, walking over 2/3 of the time, sitting, using hands to finger, handle or feel to 2/3 of time, reaching with hands and arms to 2/3 of time, kneeling/crouching to 1/3 of time, driving vehicle 2/3 of time, talking or hearing over 2/3 of time, move, transport or place up to 1/3 of time up to 60 pounds, safe driving based on current conditions and applicable laws.
  • Working Conditions: Moderate to loud noise and exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Lithia Hiring Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 18 years or older
  • Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
  • A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
  • Clear pre-employment drug screen
