Lithia Motors, Inc. 

 

The Accounts Receivable Administrator will be responsible for providing financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of payment and collection of customer accounts. The Accounts Receivable Administrator will be required to perform job duties in a manner that ensures timely and accurate updating of customer information, following up on customer/store inquiries, reconciliation of customer accounts, manage AR aging, processing of the daily bank activity, and collections activities associated with delinquent accounts.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

 

Area of Responsibility

  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
  • Maintain collection tracking system
  • Proactively keep customer calls current to collect aging balances
  • Follow established procedures for collection of accounts
  • Process payments timely and accurately
  • Reconcile AR schedules
  • Provide store support as needed
  • Review credit applications for new account set up
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies
  • Complete journal vouchers and submit for approval
  • Respond to all customer inquiries within 1 business day
  • Respond to all store requests within 2 hours
  • Other duties as assigned

  • PC skills including knowledge and use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Windows, etc.)

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Active Listening – give full attention to the words and body language of others, take time to understand the points being made and ask questions as appropriate
  • Critical Thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Time Management – ability to prioritize workload and manage one’s own time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Experience with outbound calls or collections is valuable

Lithia Hiring Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 18 years or older
  • Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
  • A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
  • Clear pre-employment drug screen
