A copywriter on the LAD Marketing team is a critical partner to both the creative and strategy departments.  This role is responsible for copywriting through the lens of account planning.  Specifically you will be reviewing communications for consumer benefit and technical accuracy.  This may require developing original content (based on self-directed research) and/or augmenting content developed by other marketing partners.

 

Your contributions will result in more effective Lithia corporate communications and store communications.  Your goal should be to help us make every communication with employees and consumers more easily understood and more relevant.

 

You will be working with a variety of LAD team members, Lithia senior leadership and store leaders.  This role reports to the Director of Marketing. 

 

Job Description

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

 

Retail Copywriting

  • Responsible for writing and/or reviewing video, radio, print and digital retail communications for our store clients.

Brand Development

  • Responsible for partnering with internal team members and external agencies to create store brand identities consistent with the strategic objectives of our store clients.

Strategic Communications

  • Responsible for assisting in the development of strategic communications and marketing plans developed in conjunction with acquisition opportunities and manufacturer presentations.

Corporate Communications

  • Responsible for assisting in the development of Lithia corporate communications.
  • Responsible for reviewing internal Support Services departmental communications.
  • Responsible for assisting in development of Lithia corporate external communications and press releases.

  • Meet and exceed individual objectives as agreed upon with supervisor
  • Adhere to schedules and deadlines
  • Thoroughness, accuracy, and timeliness in completing essential duties

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Some college required, BA/BS preferred
  • Study of English grammar preferred

Lithia Minimum Hiring Requirements

 

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 18 years or older
  • Possess a driver’s license in your state of residence
  • Pass a motor vehicle report
  • Pass a 7 year criminal background check
